Taoist Funeral Service - Hainanese Packages

The Hainanese Taoist Funeral Service Package includes all essential arrangements, such as a cremation half-glass casket, professional setup of the wake venue, memorial arrangements, Taoist rituals conducted by a Hainanese master in the Hainanese dialect, coordination on the funeral day, and post-funeral care services.

During a Hainanese Taoist funeral, a prayer altar is set up by the prayer group. The Taoist priest’s chanting is accompanied by traditional musical instruments, as various rituals are performed in accordance with Hainanese Taoist funeral practices to guide and honour the departed.

After the prayer service, rice and red packets are distributed to family members. This meaningful gesture symbolises blessings for future generations and reflects the family’s wishes for continued harmony, prosperity, and well-being.

On the final night of the funeral service, handcrafted paper tributes are burned as offerings to the deceased. These offerings include items such as a paper house, paper servants, and paper mountains in gold and silver colours.
